Welcome to the Nursery
The nursery is home to Hatchlings and older baby dragons until they are old enough to get their own lair.
Adopted, abandoned and found babies are also housed in the nursery, and are given the best care they can possibly get.
It has been said that about 10% of all hatchlings do not survive to adulthood, and the Sanctuary wants to make that 0%.
This is Imogen - guardian of Dragons, and she and her dragon Negomi travelled to the Sanctuary from Amanda's Castle when they heard about our plight for a full-time care-giver. Imogen felt that she could make herself very useful here, as she can not only guard the dragons, but care, love, and bring them up as well. She liases with Rein and Aphrodite, who care for the hatchlings and dragonets part time. Nomelg has become fast friends with Rein and Aphrodite and is ever attentive to the baby dragons' needs.
As an added help to care for the younglings, adult dragon parents often move in,
to look after their own children. This is especially so when young females lay a clutch and are too young to know how to care for them properly. Imogen has started an education program to try and help these young parents, and it is already proving very effective.
Baby Dragons
This is Juniper. She was adopted from the Sparkle Dragon Adoption Agency.
As you can see, she is very young, and is quite attatched to her egg. We are not sure if this is healthy, but as it is cleaned often, we hope this is okay.
Juniper was named by her godmother, Bex, and was named after a spiritual young girl in the book, "The Juniper Game." Bex strongly believes
in the fight against evil and against dragon slaying - and so it seems does Juniper. Although clearly very young, she has already grasped a small concept of magic, and whenever
a disruption, arguement, or potential disaster is starting in the nursery (or even between adult dragons around the sanctuary) she can sometimes split them up with psychokenesis
(although not very far...) or create a distraction from the problem at hand. If only she could stop Fyrekind & Fyreratheb from accidently singeing things...
Juniper doesn't have her own horde room, but Aphrodite has given her a small space in hers to hold her things. If you'd like to go have a look, goto
Aphrodite's Horde, you'll see Juniper's bit clearly
(Juniper's favourite colour is pastel pink, and much to Dragonmaid's chagrin, Juniper's Horde section has been painted that colour).

Fyrekind is another baby dragon living at Dragonmaid's Sanctuary.
She's a little too old to live in the nursery, and she knows how to breathe fire a little too well to warrant staying in here.
But, her lair is attatched to the nursery so you can go visit her if you want...

Kephale was adopted from "The Adopt a Dragon Foundation," or ADF,
and although she is very, very young, she cannot fit in the main nursery, so she has a
semi-lair. This is a direct part of the nursery, so she can play with the other hatchlings, have around the clock care, and have a big enough room for her own space and bedding etc.
She doesn't have a lair yet, but this is because she hasn't horded anything yet! Go to Kephale's 'lair' by clicking of her photo!

Sivouci and Mcla were adopted from Ladyhipoo. They were formally situated in the STHC room, but it was decided that proper care could not be administrated there.
Their names are a play on words of Vicious and Calm, and they both live up to that!! Sivouci is prone to rude
mood snaps, and she is very territorial of her little nest, whereas McLa has a very sweet nature, and puts up with his sister's mood swings very, very patiently.
We are not actually sure how he does it!!
As you can see, these two are also very attached to their eggs, but no one has complained, and there has been no sickness to speak of. The only problem with these two is that
they have peculiar appetites, as in pureed hazelnuts - don't ask, we don't know either...
Go to Ladyhipoo's to adopt a baby dragon like Sivouci or McLa

These two eggs belong to Oleeoreth & Latistroth, two dragons adopted from Rustiyania at her cave. Click on their pic to go to their lair, which is situated near the hatchery and is linked here via a special portal.

Emoseldduc's Eggs should be hatching soon, so her young will be in this room. Goto the Hatchery to see if you can name one
of the dragon's (and be a godparent to one), and visit here often to see if the babies have hatched!
